GIFGenerator.io is operated by 陈立, an individual developer in Wuhan, Hubei, China. This policy explains what the site actually processes and how to exercise your data rights.
1. Local images and videos
The free image and video converters work in browser memory. We do not upload those source files to our server for conversion. Closing or refreshing the editor can remove the local project. The browser creates temporary preview URLs and downloadable GIFs. The site’s original demonstration loops are public artwork, not user submissions.
2. Account and payment information
Google sign-in provides the basic profile information needed for the account, such as name, email and profile picture. We store server-side sessions and encrypted OAuth credentials for login. There is no site password sign-up. We store credit ledger entries, checkout/order references, amounts and verified payment status. Waffo Pancake handles the hosted payment form and card data; we do not store full card numbers or security codes.
3. AI prompts, outputs and moderation
When you choose Text to GIF, the prompt is sent to Waffo Prompt Sift for screening and to fal.ai for generation after approval. fal.ai video understanding reviews the resulting video before customer delivery; flagged or uncertain results may be inspected by the operator. Our database stores job identifiers, model choice, credit reservation, status, prompt hash, a salted IP hash, moderation verdicts and generated video references. It does not store the raw prompt. Providers process content under their own policies and retention controls. We do not claim to control their independent legal obligations.
4. Analytics, cookies and your choices
Google Tag Manager (container GTM-TWFP5VK8) and Microsoft Clarity (project z8ondo38c3) are optional measurement tools. They load only after analytics opt-in. The editor, prompt and account areas are masked for Clarity, and our app does not deliberately send source files, filenames, prompts or account details to the analytics data layer. Tags configured in GTM can collect normal site usage information. Decline prevents optional tag loading; use Privacy settings in the footer to change your choice. Withdrawal reloads the page to remove executed tracking code, so save your work first. A versioned local preference records only your analytics choice. Necessary login cookies support accounts. 5. Purposes, sharing and hosting
We use data to deliver requested tools, authenticate members, maintain credits, reconcile purchases, prevent abuse, review content and handle support/privacy requests. Cloudflare hosts the Worker and D1 database. Google provides sign-in; Waffo provides payment and prompt checks; fal.ai provides generation and output review; optional Google/Microsoft measurement helps improve the site. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose the minimum necessary information for lawful requests, fraud prevention or protecting rights. Providers and infrastructure may process data outside your country; applicable provider terms and legal safeguards govern those transfers.
6. Retention and security
Local source files last only in the current browser session. Server sessions expire after seven days unless renewed. Account data remains while your account is active; closure deletes the profile, sessions and account connection. A salted identity hash may be retained to prevent repeat welcome-credit grants. AI job metadata and moderation records are retained for up to 30 days unless a dispute or legal obligation requires longer retention; expired provider media may become unavailable sooner. Closed support records are scheduled for operator deletion within 90 days unless needed for disputes or law. Financial records and pseudonymized credit entries may be retained where required for reconciliation, fraud prevention or legal obligations. We use HTTPS, access controls and server-only secrets, without claiming risk-free storage or security certifications.
7. Your rights: access, correction and portability
Account settings display your profile, credit balance and creation history. You can correct your display name and download a machine-readable account export. Your Google-managed email should be corrected through Google; contact us for linked-record corrections. You may request additional access, correction, portability, restriction or objection through the contact form’s Privacy topic or the support email. Provide only information needed to identify the relevant account; never send a password or full identity document. We may ask for proportionate verification to prevent disclosure to someone else.
8. Deletion, consent withdrawal and account closure
Use Account → Delete account for a permanent closure, with an explicit typed confirmation. You may instead send a verified request for deletion of specific data or account closure through the privacy form. Some financial, fraud-prevention or legal records may need to remain in restricted or pseudonymized form; we explain any lawful exception. Withdrawal of analytics consent does not affect the free conversion tools or earlier lawful processing. You can also use browser controls to clear cookies or local preferences. Requests normally receive a response within 30 calendar days, or the applicable shorter legal deadline; lawful extensions or refusals are explained. You may complain to your relevant data-protection authority.
9. Support and content reports
The public form records your email, chosen topic, message, a salted IP digest for rate limiting, request reference and processing state. It does not require an account. Do not include illegal imagery, unnecessary identity documents or card details. The operator uses these records to investigate, respond, enforce the AUP and handle appeals.
10. Age, changes and contact
AI accounts and paid services are for adults aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly offer AI accounts to children. Contact us if a child’s data needs removal.
